At Bay Court, we believe growing older should be filled with warmth, laughter, and comfort. Nestled in the heart of Budleigh Salterton, our residential and nursing home is more than just a place to live—it's a place to thrive. We provide high-quality care in a safe, supportive environment that feels like home, with a strong sense of community, plenty of fun, and the kind of personal attention you’d expect from family.
Bay Court is privately owned by Dominique and Kevin Lloyd, who are both deeply committed to maintaining a homely, personalised atmosphere where every resident is valued and cared for like one of their own. Their presence and passion for quality care are part of what makes Bay Court such a special place.

Our Team

Leading our home are two passionate and experienced managers: Tracey Hughes, a registered nurse, and Victoria Meredith, whose background in care brings a deeply personal and holistic approach. Together, they guide a vibrant and caring team dedicated to supporting every resident’s health, wellbeing, and independence.
A Team that Feels Like FamilyWith over 50 friendly and dedicated staff members, our team includes experienced nurses, compassionate carers, skilled caterers, housekeepers, maintenance heroes, and an efficient admin crew. Everyone plays a part in making Bay Court a warm and welcoming home.

• Nurses and carers work around the clock, offering expert care tailored to each resident’s needs, delivered with kindness and respect.
• Activities Team are always on hand with a smile and friendly word
• Our catering team serves up delicious, freshly cooked meals every day—nutritious, comforting, and tailored to individual preferences.
• Housekeeping and laundry are all done in-house by our dedicated team, ensuring everything stays fresh and spotless.
• Our maintenance team keeps the home safe, comfortable, and well-loved, from lightbulbs to garden benches.

But life at Bay Court isn’t just about excellent care—it’s also about living well. We offer a lively activities programme including music sessions, arts & crafts, gardening, pet therapy, baking, quizzes, and visits from local churches, groups and entertainers. Whether it’s a VE Day garden party, planting seeds in the sunshine, or a cosy coffee afternoon, there’s always something to look forward to. Being a level walk (or wheel) to the sea front beach sea visits, coffee shop meet ups with friends and shopping are enjoyed my residents. 
And speaking of sunshine--Barney, Vicky’s lovable Cockapoo, is part of daily life here at Bay Court. Residents love his visits, and he’s quickly become the home’s unofficial mascot and morale booster!
We’re Here for You.  Tracey and Vicky are always happy to answer your questions, offer advice, or simply have a cuppa and a chat. They’d love to show you around and help you feel what makes Bay Court so special. We’re staffed 24/7, 365 days a year with qualified nurses and trained carers, many of whom have been part of the Bay Court family for years. We invest in ongoing training to make sure our team stays at the forefront of excellent care.
