Truly, thank you for all that you and the team did - knowing that he was safe and comfortable during those last few months of his life was so important - it meant we didn’t have to worry and were free to carry on living our lives while still coming down to see him, something he was adamant that we continued doing. It was such a relief knowing he was being cared for in a place that cared about him and kept him company in a way that we couldn’t.
You guys look after people at one of the most vulnerable stages of life, and I’m sure you don’t always get the recognition you deserve for doing such important work. So, I just wanted to make sure I properly thanked you for everything you did for him, and the work you do for everyone else who relies on you as much as we did. It’s incredible, important work, and me and my family (and my Grandad, I’m sure) are so grateful.

I visited today and thought how good they look, newly washed hair, nicely dressed and sitting in a lovely tidy room watching TV. When they came to Bay Court quite poorly and look how well they are now. This is all down to the care and love they have received from everyone in the home, laundry, cleaning, kitchen, nursing, caring , activities, maintenance and the gardening. It is a whole team effort and it works . Please pass on my thanks to all your staff because each person has played a part in their well being

It was someone from a residential care home in Exmouth who suggested Bay Court to me when they confirmed they couldn't meet the care needs. I think he had worked with Tracey or Vicky previously so knew there was a strong team in place. I had rung around at least 4 or 5 homes by that stage.
There is a real lack of nursing homes in the area, despite a huge number of new shiny residential homes popping up constantly. But from a relatives' point of view, when your family member is very poorly and you desperately want them to spend whatever time they have left in a home setting rather than hospital, somewhere like Bay Court is exactly what is needed. He really needed some familiar faces and continuity of care, which was lacking in hospital. We also wanted as a family to be able to spend some time with them.

My mother was in Bay Court for her last few weeks of life. The staff were caring and thoughtful and treated her with wonderful care and respect. They made us as a family feel welcome and informed us of any changes they felt would need our attention for our mother. Her room was welcoming and light. We were so happy for her to be in a place where we knew that she felt cared for. We cannot recommend Bay Court highly enough.

This placement has exceeded all expectations and has been extremely insightful into community nursing and the importance of it. The most valued still I learned from this placement is the confidence and ability to believe in myself. My only criticism of the placement is that it couldn't last longer than 8 weeks!

Mum had a very happy 14 months at Bay Court and enjoyed the activities and outings to the seafront and cafes.
All the family would like to thank the staff for their kindness particularly over the last few weeks. Mum was cared for very well and we as a family felt supported too by all your staff.

My grateful thanks to the manager and her team at Bay Court for the care that was extended to my sister while she was in their care. Every effort was made to make her stay as comfortable as possible. She was at all times treated with the utmost care, respect and dignity which was so important during her last weeks. Not least was the support given to me throughout those difficult times.
